The Channelview Fire Department (CFD) is a proud institution that has been in existence since 1949. In 2012, CFD transitioned from a volunteer organization to a fully paid department staffing two Fire Stations, with 13 Apparatus and over 90 highly motivated career firemen and paramedics.
The Channelview Fire Department provides Fire-Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to the 45,000 citizens of Channelview in a 16.2 square mile area, averaging 6,000 calls for service per year.
For implementing and executing a series of meaningful fire protection activities and achieving the highest level of protection available as an ISO Class 1 Community
The Channelview Fire Department is fully paid and commissioned organization that employs Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, as well as administrative staff.
