Station 1
Channelview Fire Department’s Station 1 was opened in 2014, and is located at 16229 Market Street. Station 1 houses Engine 12, District 12, and Medic 12 and is staffed by 3 Firefighters, 2 Paramedics, 1 Fire Captain and 1 EMS Supervisor daily. District 12 manages day to day Emergency Medical Operations, and responds to critical Emergency Medical Incidents.
District 12 is also equipped with whole blood with the ability to perform transfusions on scene, point of care Ultrasounds, and a Cyanokit to treat Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Engine 12 and Medic 12 are outfitted with equipment to provide Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical services.
In addition to Fire Suppression, E12 is equipped to respond to Confined Space Rescues, High Angle Rescues, and Motor Vehicle Extrications. Medic 12 is equipped with state of the art Emergency Medical Equipment to provide Advanced Life Support including ACLS, PALS, CPR, and NRP. Station 1 averages 2,437 calls for service each year to the Citizens of Channelview, and provides Automatic Aid to the Citizens of Highlands.

The Channelview Fire Department is a fully paid and commissioned organization that employs Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, as well as administrative staff. Channelview Fire Department is an equal-opportunity employer. We operate 2 stations with a paramedic unit and fire engine assigned to each. There is a total of 21 personnel per shift.
